Wow! How time flies! I can't believe that another year of school is finished. Wesley turned 5...Alaina will be 8...and I will have two grade school children! As I look back and reflect on the past year..the roller coaster we all had...I see God in every twist and turn.
My school year at KMS had some major ups and downs...some really difficult students made me question my profession. After 10 years...you'd think I'd have seen it all. I know it was all God, though....making me rely on Him and seeing who I really was as a teacher and professional. Thanks for the stomach wrenching turn God. I needed it. A song that I clung to was Losing by Tenth Avenue North. http://youtu.be/Y7D9UNM78-Y
Our home, financial situation made me totally and desperately rely on God and prayer to make it through. Some how...with the help of wonderful family and friends...we did. God is our provider and he sustained us for the 8 months of hardship...as well as continues to give us strength today. I give thanks to those who helped us every day! I give God all the PRAISE, HONOR, and GLORY for getting us out of the hardship. I know that it was all part of His plan. He needed us to see what was important.
Pastor Ricky once said in a sermon that God's plan is like a beautiful quilt. God gets to see all the beauty of the ups and downs of our lives, the gorgeous picture of it all. We only get to see the back of the quilt, all the threads and the mess, one piece at a time. Thank the Lord...that one day..in Heaven...we'll be able to see our life's quilt and how all the things that we endured...the roller coaster ride....were not in vain...but for our beautiful life quilt sewn together by our God!
