Blessed...Let us not forget!

I am sitting here listening to a CD, Quietime, Your Turn to Unwind, that we bought today from Lifeway.  It is a wonderful, soothing CD filled with slow, instrumental Christian worship songs.  I also began reading Beth Moore's, A Taste of Believing in God, Experience a Fresh Explosion of Faith.  It is a short 7 Chapters of how to increase your faith in Jesus and your dedication to God's purpose.  I have been reading about how God says He is who He says He is!!

I am feeling very close to God and feeling the benefits of His blessings on my life.  As Bob sits and shares his journal with me...I cry at the thoughts of what he and the team endured last week in Haiti.  Many wonderful stories, some hardships, and much fellowship has been shared with me in the past few days.  I love hearing what happened and seeing the pictures everyone has posted puts many things in perspective.

I am sitting here, with a heavy heart.  There is another team going to the Dominican Republic in October and I will begin praying daily and specifically for them.  My prayers became more specific as time passed with the team in Haiti and I pray that I can be just as in touch with God for the next team as I was while the team was in Haiti.  Let us not forget... this makes me sad.  Will this willingness in me to pray diligently for missionaries and for these poverty stricken people subside?  Will I feel this emotional connection always now, forever changed?  Or will it go away?  I pray that it does not go away!  I pray that I will continue to have this burden in my heart always...and learn to give up myself more.  Let us not forget!

I am so proud of my husband.  I love you so much Bob and I am so proud of you!  You are forever changed and have become such an inspiration to me.  To endure the hardships you did while in Haiti and already talking about WHEN you go back...so awesome!  Let us not forget!  Let us always do what we can...be burdened for the lost...LOVE OTHERS...love our neighbors as we are told in Matthew 22:39.  The teams from FCBC show that they LOVE OTHERS!  Let them all be examples for us.  Even if it is doing things here in Jacksonville...Let us not forget!!!
